Owlstar's future 28

Soon morning came with welcoming glow and the pure white tom began to open his eyes from the peaceful slumber of the she-cat Blueblossom.
*Oh, Blueblossom, we were supposed to meet at River Tail last night.
But the storm cause us to stay in our clans for the night.
Maybe she'll be waiting tonight.* The Owl Clan warrior mentally pondered as he let out a yawn.




He saw that his brother was not in his den, then saw him with a pigeon in his mouth.
*It's good to see that he's fine now.
I better get to work too.* Owlskull thought as he walked outside the medicine cats den.
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey meet me at Talon's Eye for a clan meeting." Bloodstar's words echoed the clamp and every member of Owl Clan came to his call.




Owlskull sat next to Hawkfeather as he was stretching then lied down.  
"So where have you been?
You never came into the warrior den.
Most of us got worried." Hawkfeather yawned as he look so relaxed.
Owlskull flattened his ears in awkwardness of what happened last night.




"Sorry, my brother and I got lost in the storm and Bloodstar needed to come find us.
We then went into Sweetvoice den for the night." Owlskull explained to the brown tom.
"Cats of Owl Clan, the storm that shook the clan has past and it was a sign of Star Clan." Bloodstar reported to the clan as they gasped in shock in the news and began to shows signs of a panic.
"Everyone, calm down!




Continue Bloodstar." The deputy ordered.
"Thank you Twotails.
Now we do not know what the sign means yet, but after the meeting I'll travel to the Moonstone to speak with them.
There is one more thing we need to report.
Crimsonkit and Dark-kit have both reach the age of apprenticeship." The bloodstained tom announced.




"Are you sure they are ready, Bloodstar?
I love my kits, but they are very careless and reckless." Their mother complained as her two sons sat beside her goofing off.
"Which is why this is a perfect time for them to be apprentices.
They'll gain discipline and restraint from their mentors.
Their fate will be up to them from now on." The brown tom answered as he looked to see the potential in their eyes.





"Crimsonkit and Dark-kit step forward." The leader of Owl Clan ordered as the two kits came forward.
"Until you have earned your warrior names, you two will be known as Crimsonpaw and Darkpaw.
Owlskull you show bravery and a maintain mind, I want you to pass it down to Crimsonpaw." The bloodstained leader announced as the two touched noses.
"Don't think just because I'm your mentor, I'll go easy on you." The pure tom smirked.





"Lynxface you show the greatest fighting skills and a soul of pure honesty, I want you to pass it down to Darkpaw." Bloodstar ordered with a kind smiled on his face as the two touch noses.
"Crimsonpaw!
Darkpaw!
Crimsonpaw!
Darkpaw!
Crimsonpaw!
Darkpaw!" The clan cheered.






*I'm a mentor?
This feeling is great.
But this will be a tough task for me and the apprentice.
I'll do my best to teach him.* The pure white tom thought as he led the small tom to the apprentice den.
"This is where you will be sleeping for now on.





You should enjoy today, because tomorrow you'll have to work and listen until you'll become a warrior." Owlskull smiled.
"Ha!
I'll be the best warrior in the world!
Maybe even leader of Owl Clan!
So you should show me respect you old tom with ugly fur and- OW!" Crimsonpaw mocked but then got hit in the head by Owlskull's tail.







"You won't be a warrior with that type of arrogance.
If you ever want to be a warrior you must respect the warrior code and show the clan that you are worthy of your warrior name.
But right now you're showing me how much work there needs to be done.
I was going to give a break for today, but since you shown that type of disrespect to your mentor, your punishment will be to remove all the ticks off of the elders." Owlskull glared as he shoved the apprentice into the den.





"Why good morning Owlskull.
And hello to you Crimsonpaw.
What are you both doing here today?" Rosesmile purred as she lied in her den.
"Good morning to you as well mother.
You see Crimsonpaw has been getting on my nerves a little and I thought he could begin his training by showing how we rely on another, so he'll be removing your ticks, all of the elders tick.







Let me know if he is misbehaving.
I'll make sure he won't do it again." Owlskull explained with a smile as he pushed the apprentice into the den.
"One day you'll thank me for this, Crimsonpaw.
It'll shape your act." The pure white tom meowed as he left the den.
*Now to see Blueblossom.* Owlskull mentally purred as he went to River Tail.






He did not see Lynxface, the small grey she-cat who had loved him for a long time, follow him.
"Uh..
Owlskull, hold on!" Lynxface shout as the pure white tom shot up in fright.
"Lynxface, you almost made my heart stop..." Owlskull whispered as he began to pant lightly.






*This is it.
Now we could be mates and have kits.
Oh Owlskull, I can't wait for our future.* The small she-cat thought as she said her apology to him for the fright.
'He won't love you, Lynxface.
He loves the Otter Clan she-cat.' A voice whispered in her ear.





But the grey she-cat ignored her as she'd smiled at him.
"Um....
Owlskull, for the time we- we have known each other- fr-from the day you saved me from the foxes and always to help me with my apprenticeship to right now I-
I-I have always  loved you.
That's why I wanted to ask you to be my mate." The grey she-cat filled with happiness and love for him.





But the next thing that Owlskull said shattered her heart completely.
"Lynxface, you'll always be a great friend to me and deep down I love you but-
Not in the way to be mates.
I'm sorry but I'm not looking for a mate.
But we can be friends right?" The Owl Clan warrior responded as he left for River Tail.
